FIRST PLACE WINNER: Elisa Krenz

Wow-- I love how Elisa took cuteness to a whole new level! BOTH of her desktops are totally adorable AND because they are so minimal in design, they both make excellent, functional desktops too! On choosing winners, I was looking for a unique style and take on the word "kawaii." It was actually hard to choose between both of them which is why she's the 1st place winner!

2nd Place Winner: Amy Amok

The best desktops are ones that have compelling imagery but a lot of negative space so that you can put your icons and documents on your desktop without a lot of disruption. Amy won 2nd place with this desktop because she used a unique illustrative style AND kept it nice and simple.

3rd Place: Johanna Crainmark

This desktop is so "quiet" that if you don't look closely, you might miss it! But, when you see all of the detail and the unique theme, you'll be blown away! (get it? Blown away? Bubbles? Sorry--had to do it :)

Definition of Cute: attractive especially by means of smallness or prettiness or quaintness, obviously contrived to charm

Definition of Vector: the use of points, lines, curves, and shapes or polygon(s), which are all based on mathematical equations, to represent images in computer graphics. Most people use illustrator or photoshop to make vector graphics.
